Kasia Graves graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College with a masters in Traditional East Asian Medicine. This degree includes studies in acupuncture, moxibustion, prescriptive herbal therapy, nutritional therapy, movement therapy, cupping and massage. She completed an additional 3 year internship granting her specialization in the area of the medicine that specifically addresses mental and emotional disruptions and trauma known as Five Element Therapy. Kasia is currently enrolled in courses to strengthen her knowledge and use of herbal prescriptions with respect to women’s health and trauma with Dr Christine Cannon, DAOM.

Kasia received her 200hr yoga teacher training certification in Kripalu Yoga, a style widely recognized as “meditation in motion.” It is a non-judgmental, compassionate and transformational practice of encountering and releasing physical, mental, and emotional tensions to arrive at deeper levels of relaxation and awareness. She extended her teacher training to include Positional Therapy, a hands on approach to releasing a body’s painful holding patterns. Kasia integrates the work of Bessel Van der Kolk MD, author of The Body Keeps the Score, from his work at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She is enrolled in an 800hr yoga therapy training through Sivananda Ashram to strengthen her Ayurvedic informed counseling.
